Welcome to ACPE 2022 from the ISPE President
Welcome to the 14th Asian Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology (ACPE 2022)! This year’s program is highlighted by a diverse offering of pre-conference educational courses, exciting plenary talks on important topics in the field, symposia discussing key scientific methods and approaches, oral abstract sessions, and poster presentations. This conference affords unique opportunities to learn important pharmacoepidemiology methods for the use of real-world data, share results from pharmacoepidemiologic studies across the Asia-Pacific region, engage in scientific discussions, and develop new collaborations to help to advance our field. I especially hope that students and early-stage investigators will consider attending and become more deeply involved in the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE).
I congratulate the organizers of the 14th ACPE and the Local Host Committee for their leadership and tremendous efforts in bringing this conference to fruition in Tainan. I am confident that you will thoroughly enjoy the conference and continue to build your professional and social network within the fantastic ISPE community.

Welcome to ACPE 2022 from the ACPE14 Chair
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the host committee, I sincerely invite you to participate the 14th Asian Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology (ACPE), which will be held on 21st to 23rd October 2022 at Tainan, Taiwan.
Over the recent two years, not only have we appreciated the innovation of vaccines and medical treatment that support the battle against the COVID pandemic, but also, we have followed all the relevant risk and safety under the public health emergency. Pharmacoepidemiology is one of the cornerstones of all that scientific foundation. Other than the rich educational program, the ACPE14 will be formulated for all colleagues to share experiences in research skills, translating research results to policy and clinical decision-making, and implementing risk-management programs. I trust that when we go together, we will get stronger in promoting public health globally.
The location for this conference, Tainan, is the oldest city in Taiwan and is rich in history. Dutch forts and European merchant houses are now the glittering gems in Tainan, reflecting the prosperous legacy from 17th century. The first Confucius Temple (built in 1665) in Taiwan is located in Tainan. In early 20th century, the Japanese governance further shaped the architecture and culture of the city. Today, Tainan is renowned as the capital of culture and education of Taiwan.
