Visa information

If you’re an international participant, attendee, or speaker attending ACPE 2026 from outside of Australia, you may need to apply for an appropriate visa.

Visa applications are the responsibility of individual participants. The exact visa required will depend on your country of passport and individual circumstances, in addition to your intended activities whilst in Australia.

Visa applications are processed and assessed on ‘individual merit’, and it is the visa applicant’s onus and responsibility to satisfy all the necessary application criteria and to demonstrate that they meet all the legislative requirements for an Australian visa.

Visit the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs website to ascertain the relevant visa for your stay, associated costs, processing times and character requirements.

Important information: Visa applicants can improve their chances of being granted a visa by ensuring they provide full and complete information and evidence with their applications. This may include, but is not limited to, genuine visitor documents (financial information, plans while in Australia, etc); business visitor documents (conference registration details, letter from your employer, professional qualifications, etc); and biometric and character documents.

Some applications may take 6-8 weeks to process.

Please note that visa requirements can change, and it’s advisable to visit the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs website for the most up-to-date information and specific details regarding your circumstances.
